Is your job affecting your health?
Are long hours in theatre affecting your health and wellbeing? Dr Ameer Alhusuny, a student of Occupational Health & Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, Australia is researching the prevalence of neck, shoulder and visual symptoms in surgical teams performing minimally invasive surgery.
Surgeons and surgical team members of any age, sex and specialty who perform Minimally Invasive Surgeries (MIS), laparoscopic and robotic surgeries are invited to participate in a study on factors associated with neck, shoulder and vision problems among surgical teams.
Participation is straightforward and involves answering a 10–15 minute online survey asking about demographic and individual characteristics, work-related factors, workplace ergonomic considerations and neck, shoulder and vision problems.
