ParticipantHello.
We have a Schmitz Medi Matic bed.
It’s great for Hyst, but we’ve recently raised a concern in regards to it’s safety when having to hoist / turn women on it.
It has no sides and with the unstable base to the bed, we’re feeling it’s not safe to hoist immobile women on to.
We’re awaiting feedback from the manual handling advisors.
Best wishes,

ParticipantHi.
We use the Storz betocci scopes 2.9mm. We can add the operative sheath over the top to pass down a grasper / scissors / biopsy cup forceps.
We have no issues with these.

ParticipantHi.
We would generally re-scope with recurrent PMB.
I can forward out PMB guideline if that helps. If so, please forward your email address.
Best wishes

ParticipantHello.
We recommend Ibuprofen (if not contra indicated) and paracetamol 1 hour pre procedure, this is in the leaflet. In one hospital we have entonox and this is regularly used, but in our other hospital, we do not have this. We have scandonest 3% for cervical anaesthetic.
Best wishes

ParticipantI believe my Senior Nurse Manager was asked for this information while I was on annual leave, so my Depty NH provided her with some information.

ParticipantIf our medical students require speculum practice as part of their competencies while on placement in Obs & Gynae, I allow them to practice in my clinic with patient consent, of course.
