I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St. George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. My special interests are Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain, Medical Education and Service Development. I completed my under-graduate medical education from Banaras Hindu University in India where I graduated at the top of my medical school class. My post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology was in Oxford. After completing my post-graduate training, I worked as a Clinical Fellow in Minimally Invasive Gynaecology at the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally invasive Gynaecology in Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals. I have a keen interest in teaching and have completed the Post-graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of Oxford. I am an Associate Oxford University Medical Education Fellow. I am the initiator and the co-lead for the Ledingham Lecture series in Oxford which aims to inspire medical trainees to excellence through learning how inspirational leaders overcame challenges to achieve transformational changes within their own fields. I feel that the BSGE is a forum consisting of exceptionally talented consultants and nurses and very enthusiastic trainees. If we get together and share ideas and experiences, we can learn a lot from each other and have a very positive influence on patient care.
