A Post Graduate Programme: This work-based programme develops the multi-professionals (i.e. RN, ODP, and G.P.) in order to practice and lead a “see and treat” hysteroscopy services.
Content: Current knowledge of relevant gynaecological anatomy and physiology and co- pathologies and empirical evidence base will be developed to enable the safe diagnosis and management of pathologies related to abnormal uterine bleeding.
Master clinical skills in all aspects of hysteroscopy includes; history taking and debriefing, clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, insertions and removals of IUS/IUDs within an outpatient hysteroscopy setting, patient safety, skills for leadership for leading a service.
Time: There are 10 contact days in Bradford on three occasions + the exam date. Students work on case studies, simulation sessions, have key lectures and seminars. They will need to do a minimum of 125 full hysteroscopy cases, to become clinically component, this can take from 1 to 2 years depending on the frequency and volume in work place clinics.
